21-year-old man drowned in Demi Moore’s pool

Today was just a regular day: wake up, listen to music, check my email for anything and check MSN for news. I was browsing through the categories on MSN and found some interesting topics until I came across this story. As soon as my eyes read this I went to google and found more information on Fox News.  If you would like to read the full articles here are the websites: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/07/20/man-found-dead-in-demi-moore-pool/

This past Sunday Edenilson Steven Valle, who was a 21-year-old man, drowned in actress Demi Moore’s pool. At the time Moore was out of the country visiting her daughters when she heard about the news. So how could this have happened if she was gone? Her lovely assistant was still there hosting a party. At the party Valle had gone missing for 10 to 15 minutes. His friends soon after found him floating at the deep end of the pool that early Sunday morning. A call was placed to 911 at 5:15 a.m. and when the paramedics came and performed CPR at 5:30 a.m. Edenilson Steven Valle was pronounced dead. Evidence shows that Valle slipped and fell into the pool and his family stated that he did not know how to swim.

That is the basic facts that I have gathered from the two articles combined, but there is more in detail if you want to check it out. But what I really want to know is whether the assistant even had permission to throw such a party while Moore was gone. If not I don’t know if I could trust her especially since she was the host and didn’t take such responsibilities.

“In having a party around a pool where people might become intoxicated, a host has a responsibility to ensure their safety,” a lawyer by the name Julian Chan stated to Fox News.

I agree with Chan all the way. The thing that I don’t agree with is the fact that another attorney, Leo Terrell, said that Demi Moore could face a lawsuit for negligent supervision. From my understanding how is this her fault when police officers confirmed that she was indeed out of the country. Now yes, this is her property and she does have to deal with the responsibilities of a home-owner, but not for a death that happened in the presence of the assistant. I think the assistant should be held responsible for what happen since she was the host of the party. It may be only my 18-year-old understanding and no experience in the real world, but can they pin this on Moore?
